American Traveler is hiring an experienced Case Management RN for a Magnet, Level II Trauma acute hospital, requiring an active AK RN license and Epic experience.
Details- Acute hospital Case Management/Utilization Review department
- Day shift schedule: 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Weekend coverage required every other weekend or 4 weekend days per 4-week schedule
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Active AK RN license required in hand
- BLS certification required, ACM-RN certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of case management experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Acute care experience required
- Community Hospital and LTAC experience preferred
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Experience with care coordination, discharge planning, continued stay reviews, and determining medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines
- Familiarity with Inter Qual Criteria, Milliman Guidelines, and workers' comp case management preferred
- Knowledge of CMS, HIPAA, and regulatory guidelines required
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Responsibilities include admission criteria review, appeals and denials, pre-certification review, prior authorizations, needs assessment, and DME ordering
- Work within a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility recognized as a USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
- Previous Providence perm staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Limited RTO allowed, with no holiday time off permitted
- Must be willing to commit to working assigned holidays
- Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities as needed
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment
