Overview
Plans, coordinates, and directs a complex quality program designed to ensure the quality control and quality assurance of the company's work processes and work products are consistent with established standards.
This is a full-time, non-rotational position located at NANA Worley headquarters in Anchorage, AK. This position is eligible for the NANA Worley employee referral program, available only to current NANA Worley employees.
Responsibilities- Formulates and maintains quality objectives complementary to company policies and goals. Interprets quality philosophy to key personnel in organization.
- Reviews all data obtained during all quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
- Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.
- Leads organization to certification and recertification in relevant ISO Standards.
- Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken. Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team.
- Maintains a working knowledge of industry quality codes and standards.
- Plays active role on quality and project management teams within organization. Designs and implements quality programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
- Develops and provides training to employees in the area of quality.
- Coordinates preparation activities for customer audits, customer sponsored audits and third party audits.
- Has the responsibility, authority, and organizational freedom, in consultation with the president, to identify and evaluate quality-related problems and to recommend and verify solutions.
- Ensures continual improvement occurs throughout the Company's processes, systems and content.
- Monitors compliance with client criteria as well as all state and national codes and regulations. Ensures that all assigned activities and operations comply with applicable regulations and laws.
- Performs quality-engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Integrates the quality assurance program with company global assurance requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited college or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Formal training in Quality Management Systems.
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience in quality assurance or a directly related role.
- Language
Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management and client. - Mathematical
Skills:
Comprehend and apply principles of calculus, modern algebra and statistical theory. Ability to work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations and proofs and theorems. Ability to apply mathematical operations to work projects. - Reasoning Ability:
Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with non-verbal symbols (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in the most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. - Computer
Skills:
Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and current versions of AutoCAD. - Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of managers, clients or employees of the organization. - Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. - Teamwork and Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively in teams; ability to collaborate and build positive team dynamics. - Strategic Thinking and Safety:
Develops strategies to achieve long-term success and observes safety and security procedures.
