Job Summary

The Senior QA/QC Manager is the single corporate authority for quality assurance and quality control across ASRC Energy Services fabrication and field installation activities. The position builds and maintains enterprise‑wide quality systems, provides senior‑level leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for quality programs, standards, and procedures, and partners with fabrication leadership, project management, and field teams to drive compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Periodic travel to fabrication facilities and active project sites is required.

Essential Duties
  • Providing guidance and processes for the Quality Management System (QMS), including training, awareness, communication, and continual improvement.
  • Acting as the QMS representative in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Managing the quality team and ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.
  • Maintaining the company’s Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) library and welding qualifications.
  • Designing, developing, and qualifying welding procedures and techniques to ensure quality welds.
  • Maintaining Welder Qualification Test Records (WQTR) and complete records for new welders.
  • Assisting with proposals, such as quality plans.
  • Documenting deficiencies, conducting root‑cause analysis, and preparing nonconformance reports.
  • Maintaining the NBIC "R" Stamp Certification and developing detailed repair plans in accordance with NBIC.
  • Interpreting documents such as design drawings, specifications, and welding codes.
  • Verifying subcontractor quality requirements and implementing the Inspection Test Plan Process.
Required Experience
  • 15+ years relevant experience, preferably in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in welding and fabrication.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required.
  • Annual visual acuity, including color vision tests required.
Preferred Experience
  • State of Alaska Mechanical Administrator license.
  • AWS Senior Certified Welding Inspector (SCWI).
  • NACE training, AWS CRI training, and NDE training.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Candidates must be able to meet the physical demands of remote Arctic work, comply with driving record policies, pass drug testing, and complete a fit‑for‑duty exam, background check, and access badge acquisition.
