Clinical Research, Medical Technologist & Lab Technician
This is a pool from which the College of Health will draw when research technicians are needed to work on sponsored projects. This is a part‑time temporary position based on funding availability. Acceptance into the hiring pool does not constitute an offer of employment. College of Health conducts applied and fundamental scientific research and collects, synthesizes, archives, and distributes data, specimens, and knowledge, partly through conducting field work.
- Knowledge of data collection procedures, data entry procedures.
- Proficiency with computerized spreadsheets and databases.
- Ability to manipulate data to produce charts and graphs to display trends.
- Ability to interpret data results for reporting.
- Ability to work in remote locations, sometimes in extreme conditions.
- Ability to coordinate/lead activities of others.
- Research Technician 1: High school graduation plus 6 months experience in a field relevant to research, or equivalent training and experience.
- Research Technician 2: One year of relevant college coursework and one year of experience in a relevant field, or equivalent training.
- Research Technician 3: Two years of relevant college coursework and two years of relevant experience, or equivalent training.
- Research Technician 4: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four years of experience, or equivalent training.
- Part‑time, non‑exempt temporary position.
- New hires placed on the Temporary Salary Table; grade determined by education and experience.
- This is a pooled position; applications are reviewed as needed.
