About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to Moose Run Golf Course on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK.

Recruitment Incentive of $1000 may be authorized.

This is a Seasonal position Not-To-Exceed 31-Oct-2026.

Schedule:

Guaranteed a minimum of 0 hours per week to a maximum of 40 hours per week. Schedule will depend on needs of the facility.

Performs a full range of simple cooking tasks by preparing and cooking items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, hot sandwiches, French fries, onion rings, other fry items, cold sandwiches, eggs, breakfast meats, hash browns, and other breakfast items. Prepares and cooks dehydrated soups, sauces, and gravies. Prepares food by peeling, chopping, paring, cutting, slicing, and dicing; weighs, measures, and assembles ingredients for regular menu items;

portions food for distribution and meal service, and covers, dates, and stores leftovers according to established procedures. Washes and cleans kitchen equipment. Follows established sanitation procedures when handling food. Ensures that foods are stored at the correct temperatures to prevent bacteria growth. Operates a variety of kitchen equipment using gas, electricity, steam, or microwave heat sources. Disassembles, cleans, and assembles component parts and accessories according to safety procedures to avoid personal injury and damage to the equipment.

Cleans other work areas and equipment, such as work tables, floors, refrigerators, freezers, etc., on an established cleaning schedule. Performs other related duties as assigned.

• The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
• U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
• The incumbent must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement.
• The duties of this position require the incumbent to provide current Driving Record.
