Job Summary
LFS is seeking a self‑driven team player with the ability to build strong, long‑term customer relationships in the industrial and wholesale community by providing exceptional sales and customer service experience.
Essential Functions- Engage with regular and prospective commercial, industrial, and wholesale customers to solicit orders.
- Communicate with customers on the sales floor or by phone; make cold calls and travel to customer locations as needed.
- Demonstrate product knowledge and industry knowledge in plumbing, electrical, hardware and other industrial lines.
- Manage emails and incoming calls from customers.
- Estimate delivery dates and arrange pick‑up or delivery options.
- Use point‑of‑sale and inventory control programs to facilitate sales.
- Manage and grow customer relationships.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems.
- Suggest new products to the purchasing team.
- Source non‑stock items and work with purchasing to bring in special‑order items.
- Monitor stock levels of key products and make min/max replenishment suggestions.
- Attend sales training provided by vendor representatives.
- Industry knowledge in one or more of the categories.
- Three years of sales experience.
- Associate degree (AA) from a two‑year college or university, or one to two years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Retail sales, warehouse, offices. Typical noise level is moderate.
Physical DemandsEmployee must sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel and talk or hear, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; routinely lift or move up to twenty pounds; occasionally lift or move up to 30–40 pounds.
