Part‑Time Retail Sales Associate
We are looking for a dedicated Part‑Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team.
$14.50 to $17.50 per hour
Commission up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $2.33 per hour on top of the hourly rate.
- The best working hours in the business: most stores open at 9 AM and close at 6 PM; many stores are closed on Sundays.

Entry‑level, part‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. As a Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate, you will partner with the entire staff to provide customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. You will greet, engage, and interact with customers positively and professionally to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The role includes working with jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
In addition to the hourly wage, employees earn commission based on productivity, with pay influenced by work location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Maintains the sales floor, keeping it clean, stocked, and merchandised.
- Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items following company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using appropriate communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes assigned training.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- Ability to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage when required.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, collaborate, and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient basic math calculation skills.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of personal performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview process.
