Position: Account Manager, Amazon Autos

Overview

Are you a seasoned automotive professional with an entrepreneurial spirit? Do you thrive in fast‑paced, dynamic environments and relish the challenge of building something new? If so, this Senior Account Manager role could be a great fit for you. Amazon Autos is embarking on an exciting journey to revolutionize the vehicle discovery and shopping experience that connects customers with their new vehicle of choice.

You will work directly with dealers to resolve issues, ideate scalable solutions, build client relationships, and support the onboarding of net‑new dealers to our platform. You should be comfortable managing multiple workflows in a fast‑paced environment and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Above all, you should demonstrate a high level of ownership and the ability to thrive in ambiguity.

The ideal candidate for this role will have at least five years of automotive experience, either at a corporate level or in a dealership (as a General Manager, Sales Manager, or in Finance). If you’re ready to take on a challenging, yet rewarding, role in a start‑up‑like environment, we encourage you to apply for this Senior Account Manager position on the Amazon Autos team.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Effectively and clearly communicate, both in-person and through written mediums, with senior leadership, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Function both tactically and strategically to root cause issues and implement scalable solutions.
  • Leverage your deep understanding of the automotive industry to bring innovative ideas and anticipate future challenges.
  • Thrive in an ambiguous environment, demonstrating the ability to work autonomously and make informed decisions using available data.
  • Approach problems with a "scaling mindset," ensuring standardization of processes across the account management team.
  • Maintain a keen attention to detail while managing multiple dealerships simultaneously, to appropriately address individual intricacies.
Day in the Life
  • You will be based in our office, working in a hybrid capacity.
  • You will travel onsite to meet with dealers several times a year across cross‑multiple metro locations.
  • You will work cross‑functionally with our internal partners across Seller Experience, Seller Operations, Product Management, Program Management, and UX and externally with GM‑level dealer personnel and/or VP‑level dealer group contacts.
  • Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the overall onboarding of new dealers to our marketplace, project‑managing them through the process, resolving escalations/defects and creating scalable processes to address them, and advocating on behalf of the dealers to grow their business on Amazon.
