Position Description
We are committed to delivering exceptional service and support to our customers. As a Sales Manager, you will engage with both existing and prospective clients to understand their business needs and recommend solutions from our range of products and services. This role requires strong networking skills, the ability to generate leads, and confidence in conducting sales calls and customer meetings. You will play a key role in supporting the Sales and Marketing team in achieving the companys financial targets.
Success in this role requires disciplined time management, the ability to prioritize competing demands, and a proactive, results-oriented approach to business development. Travel within the state is required and will vary based on business needs.
- Support lead generation efforts by identifying and engaging prospective customers.
- Connect with customers through calls and meetings to build and maintain relationships.
- Provide ongoing support to existing accounts.
- Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with customers to develop solutions that meet their needs.
- Recommend value-added programs using available sales tools.
- Represent the company in a professional and positive manner.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as needed.
- Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 2+ years of sales experience in the petroleum industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience selling to industrial or commercial businesses.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Experience using CRM software.
- Ability to maintain high standards of professionalism consistent with company expectations.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage workload.
- Valid drivers license required.
- Willingness to travel within the state of Alaska (approximately 25%).
