Unarmed Uniformed Static Security Officer

Overview

Hospitality Officers are stationed at hospitality sites and provide friendly customer service while protecting the client property and customers. Static Security Officers are either Level 1, 2, or 3 Uniformed Security Officers who use their physical presence to act as a visible deterrent to crime. SSO’s are trained in the use of non-lethal and lethal Use of Force depending on their security level and weapons certifications.

SSO’s provide both physical security as well as roving foot patrols to regularly check Client property, and to deter and report crimes. Depending on the Client contract, SSO’s may lawfully detain and arrest persons who commit crimes on Client property and work with local law enforcement in submitting reports and transferring custody of suspects who trespass or commit crimes while on Client property.

SSO’s shall submit Daily Activity Reports, weekly Timesheets, and Incident Reports as necessary. SSO’s report to either the SSO Site Supervisor or Operations Manager, and may receive field training from a qualified FTO (Field Training Officer) or FSO (Field Support Officer).

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Clean background with no criminal convictions.
• Physical strength and fitness.
• Clean cut appearance and grooming standards required.
• Strict moral and ethical code of integrity and honesty.
• Minimum one year prior experience as a Security Guard (may be waived on a case-by-case basis for Unarmed Officers).
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to operate security systems and emergency equipment.

• Patrolling and monitoring activities on Client properties and other premises regularly to discourage criminal activity and ensure the environment is safe and secure.
• Evicting trespassers and violators and detaining suspects/perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take over.
• Cooperating/working with law enforcement in documenting criminal complaints and transferring custody of detained and/or arrested suspects.
• Providing detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to client management and security supervisors.
• Inspect and patrol premises regularly.
• Respond to alarms and react in a timely manner.
• Provide assistance to people in need.
• Protect the public while on client property.
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity.
• Maintain regular training standards and relevant security qualifications and certifications.

Pay is decided based on experience and current certifications.
