Security Officer at Muldoon Catalyst Cannabis

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, and company property. This role ensures compliance with all state and local regulations regarding cannabis operations, while providing excellent customer service and upholding company standards of professionalism.

• Monitor entrances, exits, sales floor, and perimeter to ensure the safety of staff, customers, and inventory.
• Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas of the facility.
• Conduct routine patrols of the premises, including parking lots, to deter theft, loitering, or suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies, escalating as appropriate.
• Assist in de-escalating conflicts with professionalism and discretion.
• Complete and maintain detailed security logs, incident reports, and documentation as required.
• Support compliance with state cannabis regulations regarding security measures, surveillance, and reporting.
• Collaborate with store management and law enforcement if necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests in a professional, friendly manner.
• Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures, including fire safety, medical emergencies, and evacuation protocols.
• Ensure surveillance equipment is functioning properly and report malfunctions immediately.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• Strong observational and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Familiarity with cannabis regulations (preferred, training provided).
• Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform routine patrols.
• Basic computer skills for completing logs and incident reports.

• Retail cannabis store and surrounding property.
• May involve exposure to varying weather conditions when monitoring outdoor areas.

• Full-time or part-time, depending on business needs.
• Shifts include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
