Job Description
Join Leidos in a mission-critical role supporting the 11th Air Force Special Security Office (SSO) in Alaska, where national defense meets elite security operations. As a Security Specialist, you will safeguard sensitive intelligence, personnel, and facilities across the Alaskan theater, ensuring SCI access control, policy enforcement, and compliance with the highest standards of national security.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and administer SCI Personnel and Physical Security Programs for 11 AF
- Conduct SCI indoctrinations and manage access control for SCIFs and SCI‑cleared personnel
- Monitor DISS and Scattered Castles for clearance verification and derogatory data
- Coordinate escorts and execute audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
- Develop and maintain SCIF documentation (FFC, TEMPEST, CSP, MSP)
- Process TS/SCI visit requests and liaise with DCSA CAS for adjudication and eligibility
- Deliver training and guidance to subordinate unit SSOs
- Support Program Compliance Review (PCR) inspections and readiness initiatives
- Active TS/SCI clearance required on day one
- Minimum 5 years of DoD security experience in military or intelligence environments
- Associate's degree
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and DoD clearance systems (DISS, Scattered Castles)
- Deep knowledge of ICD 704, ICD 705, and DoDM 5105.21 Vols 2 & 3
- Experience with DIA SCIF authorization and security protocols
- Bachelor's degree in a security-related discipline
- SPeD Security Fundamentals Certification
- ICD 705 Site Security Manager (SSM) Certification
- Security Asset Protection Professional Certification
- PMP Certification
