The State of Alaska is hiring a Female Correctional Officer 1 for the Hiland Mountain Correctional Center located in Eagle River. This position involves a unique schedule of 84 hours a week with alternating day and night shifts. Successful candidates will promote public safety and work towards the rehabilitation of inmates.
Training includes structured field training and completion of the Correctional Officer Academy with opportunities for advancement. Candidates must be at least 21, possess a high school diploma or GED, and meet certain background requirements.
