COLASKA is seeking Journeyman Mechanics to join their team in Anchorage, Alaska. These professionals will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and vehicles at various project sites across the state. The ideal candidates are independent workers with strong troubleshooting skills, able to travel to remote locations as needed. This is a union position offering the chance to work on major infrastructure projects in Alaska’s unique environment.

• College/University/Trade School or equivalent experience in relevant field preferred
• Professional certifications as applicable
• Ability to stand/work on feet for extended periods and perform physical tasks
• Ability to lift and move 50 pounds or greater
• Pass pre-employment drug screening and Physical Ability Test (PAT)
• Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Must have own tools
• Maintenance of CDL with hazmat endorsement
• Willingness to work weekends and 60+ hours per week

• Previous experience in road construction and/or a shop setting
• CPR and 1st Aid Certification
