Maintenance Specialist BFC Journey 2 Lead
Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Division of Facilities Services is looking for a Maintenance Specialist BFC Journey II/Lead to help keep Alaska moving.
What you will be doingThe Maintenance Specialist, BFC Journey II/Lead will perform skilled diagnostic, installation, repair, and maintenance work on HVAC and related facility system components. The role supports reliable operation and efficiency of building mechanical systems to meet agency operational needs at Central Region DOT&PF facilities. This position requires a strong focus on system functionality and safety, with a commitment to high-quality service.

The working environment you can expectThis position is located in Anchorage. Employees work in remote locations and urban centers, maintaining roads, bridges, airports, ports, and public facilities in rugged terrain and extreme seasonal changes. The role demands adaptability and resourcefulness.
Who we are looking for- Plumbing and Pipe fitting:
Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools to install, maintain, or repair pipelines, pipe systems, and fixtures. - Facilities:
Knowledge of physical, engineering, and equipment for facilities, and safety and equipment development. - Problem Solving:
Identifies and analyzes problems; evaluates alternative solutions; makes recommendations. - Mechanical:
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance.
Position will require a current valid driver's license.
