Salary Range: $34.00 To $37.00 Hourly

Leads and assists in the construction, installation, and maintenance of communications towers and support structures and related telecommunications equipment. Leads by example to facilitate timely job completion. Tower Technicians work irregular hours, travel frequently, and work at great heights in extreme weather conditions.

• Climbsandworksoncommunicationstowers forthepurposeofinstalling,replacing,andrepairingantennasystemsequipment.
• Thebasicuseandcareofhandtoolsandmechanicalequipment.
• Safety Management-ensurescrewmembersareincompliancewithcompanyandcustomersafetyrequirements.
  
  Verifiesandensuresalltoolsand rigging gear aresafe touse.
• Completesrequireddaily Job Safety Analysis  (JSA’s).Executesandmanages,if required.
• Knows the hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or nearenergizedlinesand equipment.
• Theabilitytoclimbtallstructures(100 feetormore) with
  50lb.load.
• Fullunderstandingofajob orproject Scopeof Work(SOW).
• Abilitytodevelopandwriteadetailed Methodof Procedure (MOP) forajob/project.
• Analyzessituationsaccuratelyandadoptanappropriatecourseofaction.
• Solidcommunicationskills, bothorallyandinwriting.
• Followsinstructionsaccuratelyandcompleteassignedcourse ofaction.
• Recognizessafetyhazards andperformingdutiesinasafemanner.
• Maintains clean,orderlyenvironmentadheringtocompanypoliciesandindustryregulation/standard(s)(OSHA)
• Experiencedwithcustomtowerriggingtechniques.
• Proficientwithalltestequipment(sweeps,PIM,fibertestingetc.)
• Proficientwithinstallationofantennas,RRH’s,ground kits,RETsystems.
• Runsrequiredlinestotopofthetower;groundscoaxlinesandbuildsdifferentsizesandtypesofconnectors.
• Stacks towers,installssectormounts.
• Basicknowledgeofmicrowavedishandradio installations
• Recognizessafetyhazards andperformsdutiesinasafemanner.
• Abilitytoleada4-mantowercrewsafelyandwithinestablishedbudgetaryrequirements.
• Ensuresjobsarecompletedfully,meetallcompanyandcustomerqualitystandardsandallCOPrequirementsare complying.
• Safelyrunsawinch/cathead.
• Troubleshootstowerlightingsystems.
• TMA Gaintestingexperience
• RFnoisefloortestingexperience
• Actasateamleadandmentortolessexperienced Tower Technicians.

• Clean Driving Record &Valid Driver'sLicenseandreliabletransportationtoandfromwork.

• Workingknowledgeofbasichandtools,mechanical equipment,andelectro-mechanical equipment.
• Com Train,OSHA
  10,RF Awareness
  
  Training,FirstAID/CPR trained.
• Musthaveexperiencewith Anritsu Site Master ,Andrew,PPC,towermappingandantennaequipment.
• Musthaveexperiencestackingself-support towers,installingwaveguide,antennas,andmicrowavedishes.
• RF Awareness,replacement,andmaintenancei.e.,coax,jumpers,TMA’s,connectors,and weather proofing.
• Highly organized and be able to effectively report verbally and written reports back to the Tower Foreman.
