Salary Range: $20.50 To $30.80 Hourly
The Tire Technician performs routine tire support duties for the Anchorage CTS equipment fleet. These duties may also include some occasional basic maintenance while under the supervision of an experienced mechanic.
- Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures
- Organize tire storage/inventory
- Notifies the Shop Manager and Parts Manager of tire inventory levels
- Remove, install, and repair tires
- Dismount, mount tires to wheels/rims
- Conforms to all manufacturer and industry standards in regards to tire installation, maintenance and repair
- Keep work area clean and adhere to housekeeping protocols
- Other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 to 2 years of tire installation and repair experience
- Basic understanding of equipment/truck/trailer design and functionality

- Competitive base hourly rate range: $20.50 – $30.80, depending on experience and qualifications

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. In addition to using computerized diagnostic equipment, mechanics use a variety of power and machine tools, such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, grinding machines, and welding equipment. Hand tools, including pliers, socket and ratchets, and screwdrivers, are also commonly used.
The employee is often exposed to a variety of extreme weather and temperature conditions and fluctuations, such as cold, heat, snow, wind, rain, etc.
