Field Technician - Resident

Heavy Equipment Field Technician – Anchorage, Alaska

Join our winning team in the Service Department where you’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment including haul trucks, dozers, and loaders.

• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment: remove, repair, assemble, and install components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot engines, powertrains, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Operate CAT diagnostic equipment, repair tooling, rigging, and blocking equipment.
• Plan and organize work with a focus on controlling job costs.
• Investigate, analyze, and recommend solutions to eliminate problems.

Required

• Mining experience on haul trucks, dozers, and loaders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent; or graduate of a 2‑4 year technical school, or equivalent experience.

Preferred

• Experience at a Caterpillar (CAT) dealership or with CAT products.

Salary range: $58.25‑$62.25 per hour, based on skills and experience.
