ASRC Energy Services, LLC (AES) is part of the Alaska Native corporation, Arctic Slope Regional Corporation (ASRC) family of companies. ASRC is a private, for-profit corporation owned by approximately 13,000 Inupiaq shareholders. AES is a subsidiary employing a large workforce and providing services to the energy industry.
Job SummaryThe Nutaaq is responsible for assisting journey-level trade workers in all phases of work within a specific trade area. This position works under the direct supervision of a journey-level trade worker and performs a variety of tasks to gain experience and improve technical understanding and skills in the use of trade tools and equipment.
Essential Duties- Assist the journey-level trade worker with general trade and craft tasks including troubleshooting, repairs, installation, and construction tasks.
- Follow guidelines, handbooks, state and federal codes, and verbal and written instructions to perform assigned tasks.
- Perform skilled trade work commensurate with years of experience and training.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment relevant to the selected trade.
- Move, load, and carry materials and equipment as required.
- Maintain tools and equipment inventory.
- Prepare routine reports and safety audits.
- Maintain monthly hour logs in accordance with Company procedures.
- Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
- Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- All successful applicants will be required to sign a release of information form.
- Must be an ASRC shareholder to be qualified for this position. Verification and/or documentation may be required.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Valid drivers license required.
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry and in the Arctic environment preferred.

Working on the North SlopeWhen working on the North Slope of Alaska, lodging and meals are provided.
