Mobile Fleet Service Technician

POSITION OVERVIEW

The MOBILE FLEET SERVICE TECHNICIAN position is charged with performing truck maintenance, diagnostics and repairs of commercial vehicles and associated components for all makes and models – on the go! This premium customer service may take place on the road, at the customer location, or just about anywhere. Valid Drivers' license required; CDL and medical card preferred.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide repair service to vehicles and equipment.
  • Most repairs occur indoors, but there will be times when work needs to be done outside.
  • Read job order, observe and listen to the vehicle in operation to resolve malfunctions and plan repair procedures.
  • Follow checklists, ensuring all critical parts are examined.
  • Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run smoothly if needed.
  • Attend factory and dealership training classes
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers.
  • Properly complete the service and/or repairs assigned by the supervisor.
  • Complete all work according to RWC safety requirements and published procedures.
  • Safety toe boots necessary.
  • Ensure guest vehicles are returned as clean as they were before service.
  • Conduct some Mobile Services on trucks.
  • Any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and or management

Salary range for a Mobile diesel Technician begins at $35.00 and hour

ACTIVITY AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of wheel-end, light electrical, simple diagnostic, liftgate and rollup door knowledge required.
  • Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer.
  • Must be self-motivated and have STRONG VERBAL AND WRITTEN communication skills.
  • Must conduct his/herself in a professional manner.
  • Clean Driving record and valid license (CDL preferred, but not required)

Must be able to successfully pass a background check and a pre-hire drug and alcohol test.
