Diesel / Heavy Duty Mechanic

Opti Staffing Group is looking for an experienced Diesel/Heavy Duty Mechanic to join a busy shop [in/near location]. If you know your way around heavy equipment, trucks, and diesel engines and want steady work with a company that values good mechanics, this could be your next gig.

• Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, transmissions, and heavy equipment
• Performing routine preventive maintenance (oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, inspections)
• Troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Reading and interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Welding and fabricating repairs as needed
• Keeping accurate maintenance logs and repair records
• Following all safety protocols and keeping a clean, organized work area

• 2+ years of diesel/heavy equipment mechanic experience
• Own tools (shop provides specialty/heavy tools)
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience with [specific equipment: semi trucks, construction equipment, ag equipment, etc. — fill in]
• Valid driver's license (CDL a plus, not required)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a shop/outdoor environment
• Good attitude and reliable attendance

• ASE certifications
• Welding experience
