As an Aviation GSE Mechanic — Deicing Fleet Specialist, you keep our vehicles and ground service equipment reliable when it matters most.

A day in this role Picture the start of your shift: you review the maintenance schedule, plan downtime with operations, and head out to the ramp. You’ll inspect deicing trucks and support equipment, interpret schematics and parts catalogs to pinpoint issues, and apply recognized maintenance procedures to return units to service quickly. Whether it’s an electrical fault, a hydraulic leak, or routine PM, you document the work precisely and keep the fleet dependable during fast-changing weather.

What you’ll tackle

Own local maintenance scheduling and performance to maximize equipment dependability.

Perform skilled maintenance and repairs following established procedures and best practices.

Read and apply maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, schematics, blueprints, drawings, and related technical documents.

Diagnose and resolve electrical and hydraulic issues within established time frames.

Complete accurate maintenance records and carry out scheduled and unscheduled equipment inspections.

What you bring

High school diploma or equivalent; 18+ years of age.

Clear verbal communication and hearing; able to read, write, understand, and give instructions in English.

Basic to intermediate computer proficiency.

Strong time management and organizational skills to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.

Knowledge of fluids, diesel-powered machinery, and tools—design, use, repair, and upkeep.

Professional tact working with all levels of employees and client representatives; maintain confidentiality of information.

Hands-on experience with standard and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment (e.g., photo tachometer, diagnostic tools/hardware, scanners, meters).A valid driver’s license is required.
