Position: Criminal Justice Technician 1 (12-2136)

The recruitment is exempt from the hiring freeze (Administrative Order 358).

NOTE:

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

This position is assigned to the Statewide Search and Rescue (SAR) program and assists the SAR Coordinator with emergency management planning and exercise functions related to SAR functions, programs and organizations within and associated with the Department of Public Safety.

  • Transcripts (official or unofficial, but institution name and URL must be listed). Transcripts can be attached at application or interview; otherwise required before employment.
  • Work references detailing employer name, job title, dates, and full‑ or part‑time status.
BACKGROUND CHECK

This position requires the incumbent to submit to a fingerprint‑based criminal history background check. Due to the sensitive nature of this position and required access to APSIN, an applicant with criminal convictions will not move forward in the selection process.

CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT

The successful candidate will be required to read, understand, and agree to a confidentiality agreement concerning the work commonly encountered within the Department of Public Safety to qualify for this position.
