Position: Criminal Justice Technician 1 (PCN 06N09077)

Overview

Criminal Justice Technician 1 – Anchorage Therapeutic Courts office.

Responsibilities
  • Provide public safety interventions by reducing offenses among drug/alcohol–addicted persons and offenders with mental health issues.
  • Assist Probation Officers with case management, intensive treatment, community supervision, and frequent random drug testing (urine, saliva, etc.).
  • Monitor and report participant compliance to the Courts, including routine and random drug screenings and managing chain‑of‑custody.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate with program staff.
Qualifications
  • Resident of Alaska; male applicants only.
  • Valid driver’s license at time of appointment.
  • Background check, fingerprinting, and access to APSIN required.
  • Competencies:

    Accountability, Computer Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Oral & Written Communication, Problem Solving.
  • Competency description:
    Ability to accept responsibility, use computers, show courtesy, communicate effectively, and solve problems.
