Position: Medicaid Program Specialist 1

What you will be doing:

In this position, you will request and manage service authorizations for approved Medicaid Waiver/State Plan and Personal Care Services programs. You will work closely with service provider agencies and multiple state entities in managing day‑to‑day service authorization requests and processing these requests through the designated system (MMIS), in accordance with all applicable policies and state and federal regulatory guidance.

Working Environment

The position is scheduled for a 7.5‑hour workday with flexible hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Telework is possible upon successful completion of a probationary period and approval from the Division Director. The office is located in Anchorage, Alaska, at 1835 Bragaw Street, Suite 350.

Minimum qualifications:

experience supporting the administration of a Medicaid or Medicare program, health insurance services, or similar, with knowledge of MMIS, data analysis, and regulatory guidance. The position is open to Alaskan residents only.
