Protective Service Specialist 1/2
The Department of Family and Community Services, Office of Children's Services (OCS) is recruiting for a full-time Protective Service Specialist 1/2 located in Anchorage, Alaska.
In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for individuals reporting concerns about child safety and well-being. You will be responsible for gathering essential information and screening reports. Success in this position requires strong customer service, critical thinking, and the ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment. Your work will play a vital role in protecting children and supporting families across Alaska.

This position is part of a specialized unit that works closely together to support making the best decisions for families. Your first twelve months in the agency are probationary and considered a training period, with formal virtual training and on-the-job training with your supervisor and with other colleagues.

The position offers either a 3-day or 4-day work week with shifts starting at 8:00 am. The 3-day schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The 4-day schedule is Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
