The Department of Corrections, Division of Administrative & Support, is recruiting for a Program Coordinator 1 (CSIM Coordinator) position .
This position is being recruited in both Anchorage and Juneau; final location is based on the location of the selected candidate.

Under the direction of the Criminal Justice Planner, this position is responsible for the planning, developing, coordinating, implementing and overseeing of the Department`s statewide Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)/Peer Support Program for Department employees. This position will also oversee a portion of the wellness block at the Academy related to CISM/PS education, and may also assist with duties related to critical incident reviews on an as needed basis.

The Wellness Unit is committed to an approach to employee wellness and mental health that focuses on the holistic wellness of our employees by providing education, training, resources, and support. The mission of the CISM/PS program is to mitigate the impact of critical incidents, facilitate the processing of stress reactions, assess the need for additional services, and accelerate the recovery process for personnel.

In addition, one‑on‑one peer support is provided to employees who are dealing with professional or personal stressors.
