The Department of Revenue, Tax Division is recruiting for an Application Developer 1/2/3 in Anchorage or Juneau!
This position is open to Alaska Residents only. Please check our residency definition to determine if you qualify.
Pay will be determined based on location of selected individual.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Supporting the Tax Division’s IT applications by maintaining, updating, and enhancing complex, inter-related systems that support statewide revenue programs.
- Working closely with senior developers, business analysts, and division staff to gather requirements, understand business workflows, participate in design discussions, and ensure successful implementation of solutions.
- Assisting in daily system maintenance, monitoring system performance, responding to outages, and ensuring the reliability, security, and integrity of Tax Division applications.
- Participating in pair-programming, code reviews, project development, application testing, and documentation efforts that support continuous improvement of mission-critical systems.
- We have a strong preference for candidates who already possess working knowledge of our core Microsoft development ecosystem, including C#, SQL, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Azure, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint Online.

- Assisting in daily system maintenance, monitoring system performance, responding to outages, and ensuring the reliability, security, and integrity of Tax Division applications.
