ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Station Representative reports to, and the Station Supervisor reports to the Station Manager. They are responsible for the proper, safe, and efficient handling of assigned flights. Essential functions and responsibilities include:

  • Coordinates (or supervises) cargo-related functions associated with the assigned flight(s), including inspection (or supervision) of ULD build-up operations, and weighing of cargo prior to loading on Company aircraft.
  • Prepares and distributes (or supervises the preparation and distribution of) the load plan and Weight and Balance Load Sheet.
  • Ensures revenue cargo and COMAT are properly inspected, packaged, labeled, loaded, and restrained per Company policy, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
  • Supervises and directs all contract labor groups assigned to handling, loading, and off-loading assigned aircraft.
  • When required, trains and instructs vendors to ensure the safe and efficient handling of Company equipment and cargo per Company policies and procedures to avoid damage to aircraft, cargo, and equipment and to avoid injury to personnel working on or around aircraft.
  • Verifies the accuracy of all cargo, dangerous goods, and government documentation required to accompany the aircraft and/or cargo on assigned flight(s).
  • Inspects and operates (or supervises the operation of) all aircraft cargo doors, cargo conveyance, and restraints systems; the installation and stowage of all required cargo door sill guards, anti-tipping equipment, installed nets, smoke barriers; reports any discrepancies to the Flight Maintenances Engineer (FME) and to Maintenance Department personnel; and notes any discrepancies in the “Remarks” section of the Aircraft Loading Checklist.
  • Inspects tendeed ULDs for damage and deficiencies, ensuring contained cargo is adequately secured.
  • Makes temporary repairs to ULDs (as allowed by ka policy) and rejects ULDs that do not meet minimum standards.
  • Ensures that no pilferage, loss, or damage of cargo occurs while in his/her custody.
  • Maintains control over all Company-owned/leased ULDs and cargo restraint equipment in his/her custody.
  • Closes all aircraft doors and secures the aircraft prior to departure at layover stations (or any other location) where Company personnel are not present to perform such tasks.
  • Ensures flight plans, weather information, General Declarations, and all other types of flight operations-related documents are collected and available to the flight crew.
  • Coordinates with all contract aircraft service and cargo handling organizations (caterers, fuelers, etc.), airport authorities, and government agencies associated with the flight, to ensure that all parties are kept informed of the Company's flight schedule and service requirements.
  • Ensures catering has been correctly filled.
  • In coordination with the FME, ensures the aircraft is sufficiently stocked with dry supplies and all trash is removed from the aircraft in accordance with local regulations.
  • Performs tasks as required to keep the aircraft cabin and cargo compartments clean and orderly and properly stowed.
  • At outstations (as duties permit), assists the FME and/or the flight crew in the servicing and maintenance of the aircraft, serving as a mechanic's helper and supports the crew as a team member.
  • Prepares reports and briefs flight crew on cargo and security conditions.
  • Performs other duties as directed by the Station Manager or designated Supervisor.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS & REQUIREMENTS
    • All shifts on a rotating basis. Station Rep Loadmaster’s work in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold, as well as rain, and snow.
    • Ability to push, pull and lift 50 lbs. on a repeated basis.
    • Ability to pass a 10-year criminal background check as well as a DoD background check.
    • Ability to obtain a US passport and travel as needed to delegated assignments.
    • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.

    • Must have load planning, ramp and warehouse experience
    • Must be available for flexible hours
    • Must have good communication skills
    • Must have good customer service skills
