Flight Attendant – Horizon Air

As the face of Horizon Air, representing Alaska Airlines, the flight attendant delivers a signature inflight experience, upholding safety as the priority and maintaining a welcoming, positive atmosphere for passengers and colleagues.

• Ensure full compliance with safety regulations and that all safety equipment is functional.
• Greet passengers, assist with seating, baggage stowage, and security procedures.
• Explain and demonstrate safety equipment and emergency procedures to passengers.
• Prepare and serve meals, beverages, and alcohol in accordance with airline policy.
• Market onboard products, process sales using a mobile device.
• Calmly resolve passenger situations, including medical emergencies.
• Answer questions about flight operations and provide destination information.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 2 years of customer or community service experience.
• Uncompromising dedication to safety and the ability to perform physical duties required of a flight attendant.
• Ability to meet grooming, uniform, and appearance standards.
• Physical eligibility to meet aircraft dimension requirements (e.g., jump seat, harness).
• Willingness to relocate to any of the following bases:
  Seattle, WA;
  Portland, OR;
  Medford, OR;
  Boise, ;
  Spokane, WA;
  Anchorage, AK;
  Everett, WA.
• Willingness to serve alcohol.
• Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to travel extensively and operate effectively under stress.
• Must be able to attend four weeks of paid training in Portland, OR.
• Possess a current U.S. passport with unrestricted travel to and from Canada; non-U.S. passport holders must provide necessary documentation.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 21 years old.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Four weeks of paid training will be held in Portland, OR.

Employees working at an airport or maintenance hangar must obtain and maintain a SIDA badge issued by the airport authority. Failure to meet SIDA badge requirements may result in termination.

• First‑year step rate: $20.66 per contract.
