Position Summary

Responsible for the safe and timely delivery of petroleum products throughout the Anchorage and surrounding area while providing excellent customer service.

Essential Job Functions

Must possess a valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT endorsements. Maintain a clean driving record and pass all random drug and alcohol tests.

Job Duties
  • Transports petroleum product in the Anchorage, Mat-Su Valley and the Kenai Peninsula.
  • Performs all work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Keeps accurate truck logs.
  • Performs daily inspections, and report all necessary mechanical repairs to Mechanic.
  • Keeps equipment truck in clean and working order.
  • Ensures proper procedure is followed for task being performed.
  • Ensures meter sheets, dailies, and meters balance of fuel delivered are completed daily and are properly billed and legible.
  • Provides excellent service to all customers both internal and external.
  • Informs management of safety, environmental, and mechanical concerns in a timely manner.
  • Provides advance notice for time off.
  • Communicates regularly with dispatch during working hours.
  • This position requires overtime and may be called upon to provide call out duties.

Job Qualifications:

  • 1.

    Education:

    High School diploma or GED is required.
  • 2.

    Experience:

    A minimum of two years driving experience in Alaska with a class A CDL with HAZMAT endorsements. Must be able to operate a manual transmission.
  • 3. Licensure/Certification:
    Valid Class A, Driver’s Medical Card, Hazmat endorsements. Must be able to attain a TWIC Card within 30 days of hire date. Must be able to pass a pre-hire drug screening, and background check. A Shoreside Petroleum pre-hire driving test will be administered after the interview process, this test will include pre-trip inspection, maneuvering, and on road driving.
