Maintenance Worker Department:

Work Schedule:
This role is required to work during normal business hours, with overtime, weekends, or overnight hours as needed for maintenance and snow-clearing operations.
Work Location:
In-person at assigned parking stations and facilities, with travel to various sites as required. May be relocated or transferred without notice. Eligible for cross-border travel between the U.S. and Canada.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for the daily and scheduled maintenance, repair, and cleaning of assigned parking stations and/or facilities. This position ensures Diamond Parking properties are safe, attractive, and operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to the following, as additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned:
Customer Relations:
Maintain courteous and professional interactions with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
Transportation & Appearance:
Provide own reliable transportation and maintain a neat, professional appearance. Wear required uniform and safety gear.
Operations & Safety:
Clean, maintain, and repair properties; set up or remove signage and equipment as directed; operate snow and landscaping equipment; maintain drains and signage; report unresolved issues.
Compliance & Documentation:
Submit accurate paperwork and time records; wear safety equipment; ensure safe handling of monies and compliance with deposit procedures.
Equipment & Vehicles:
Operate company vehicles and equipment (e.g., mini-bus, van/shuttle, snow plow, blower) safely and in accordance with regulations.
Hazard Management:
Keep sites free of trash, debris, and hazards; repair potholes and signage; inspect for issues and escalate as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred; 6–12 months of related experience desirable. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and communicate clearly.
Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to perform basic math operations using whole numbers.
Reasoning Ability:
Apply common sense and follow verbal or written instructions.
Certificates & Licenses:
Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Physical:
Regularly required to stand, walk, run, sit, climb, balance, stoop, crouch, and kneel.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds.
Work Environment:
Frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions, extreme cold, snow, ice, fumes, and other outdoor elements.
Noise levels range from moderate to loud. Hearing protection may be required.
Other:
All employees are subject to internal audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to recording, handling, and depositing money, and other assigned duties. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
