The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Project Delivery, is looking for a Transportation Planner 3 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!

Pay is based on the location of the selected applicant; salaries will be discussed at the time of the interview.

What you will be doing:

Under the general direction of the Deputy Director of Planning in the Division of Project Delivery, this position serves as Multi-Modal Planning Chief for Transportation Planning across the state. This position supervises the Alaska Community Transit Office and the Department's transit programs. Work will include federal reporting requirements, contract management, grant program management and conducting other federally required and recommended planning projects.

The working environment you can expect:

This is a statewide position and may be filled from any location within Alaska. In-person office space is available in Anchorage, Juneau, and Fairbanks. Microsoft Teams is currently being utilized in lieu of many in-person meetings for peer-to-peer communications and staff meetings, as applicable. Some travel will be required for this position to liaise with staff, stakeholders and partners.
