Cargo Loadmaster

Alaska Central Express, Inc. located at Ted Stevens International Airport/North Airpark location, is now accepting applications for full-time Cargo Load Masters. Duties include loading and unloading aircraft in a timely manner, sorting and handling mail and cargo at the Post Office distribution center and within our facility, assist in load documentation for aircraft weight and balance calculations, maintaining indoor and outdoor work spaces, and other tasks assigned as needed.

Our starting pay for Cargo Loadmasters is $20/hour with room for advancement and growth, complete the application to be considered for our team!

• Adopts safety as the top priority every day, every time, without exception
• Promotes positive, professional team attitudes and behavior throughout the ACE system
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to work any shift including nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required
• Monitors Company communications regularly, including email, text, and voicemail
• Complies with all Company policies and procedures, OSHA requirements, Federal, State, and local laws
• Completes all assigned training in a timely manner
• Reports all safety concerns or occurrences using the ACE SMS reporting process as soon as it is safe to do so

• At least 18 years old
• Current Alaska driver’s license (applicants must possess AK driver’s license prior to beginning employment)
• Legally authorized to work in the US
• Able to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screening
• Able to pass pre-employment Federal background checks with no disqualifying results that would prevent you from obtaining an airport SIDA badge

• Lifting and carrying heavy loads:
  Must be able to frequently lift and move cargo, baggage, and equipment often weighing over 70 pounds, often in awkward positions or the confined space of the aircraft
• Operating heavy machinery:
  Frequent use of forklifts, conveyors, and other loading equipment
• Standing and walking:
  Extended periods on the ground or moving between loading areas and facilities
• Working in extreme conditions:
  Exposure to all weather — hot, cold, rain, snow, wind
• Repetitive and strenuous tasks:
  Repeated lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning heavy items to balance aircraft loads
• Vision and hearing:
  Must be able to see clearly in low-light or high-noise environments and follow safety instructions accurately
