R CDL A Driver (Open)

Anchorage, AK - Arctic Spur - ASU

Key Job Details and Benefits- Annual Pay: $90–$120K per year on average (based on location and travel)
- Schedule:
Flexible across multiple schedules; overnight travel is part of the role; drivers are expected to return home daily - Equipment used:
Tractor‑trailer with Tank, Flatbeds, and Dry Vans carrying bulk gases such as Liquid Oxygen, Liquid Nitrogen, Liquid CO₂, and cylinder loads on flatbeds - Technology:

- Maintain courteous and professional relationships with customers while delivering products with exceptional quality
- Upload, deliver, and download gases safely on customer vessels
- Provide timely communication to distribution managers or customer sales personnel regarding any changes related to the customer
- Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and advise on needed repairs; ensure any immediate needs are addressed before going on route
- Work in remote areas of Alaska, using resourcefulness to maintain trucks and resolve issues such as airline problems, tire plugs, or tire removal
- Valid Class A CDL or B CDL with HAZMAT, Tanker & Airbrake endorsements
- Mechanically inclined to fix truck issues (e.g., air lines, plug tires)
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission
- Maintain Alaska driver's license, medical card, and endorsements
- No more than two traffic convictions or one at‑fault accident in the last three years (or a combination of one traffic conviction and one at‑fault accident)
- No driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances within the last seven years
- Able to work in a drug‑free environment
- Able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with material handling equipment
- Minimum two years of verifiable CDL A driving experience in the last five years
- Two years of tanker experience
