Cylinder Handler Loader - Anchorage, AK

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading cylinders on trucks, tractors, and other designated areas, checking identification, labels, valves, and styles, and determining whether cylinders need to be filled, remain empty, painted, or have marks.
• Ensuring accurate labeling and compliance with required procedures for safe storage of cylinders.
• Securing all loads before deliveries by checking straps, correct cylinder placement, and proper tags.
• Material handling of cylinders manually using dollies, carts, and forklifts.
• Transporting vehicles (including trucks, tractors, forklifts, and cylinder carts) that require different dock locations for loading or unloading.
• Performing housekeeping duties for safety and appearance purposes.
• Adhering to quality assurance policies and standards, and notifying the supervisor of any quality assurance problems.
• Performing other projects and duties as assigned and complying with all policies and standards.

$25.00 per hour DOE.

• Job is very physical: loading and offloading cylinders and dewars on pallets, moving cylinders, using a cylinder cart for distances over 15 ft, and operating a forklift to load or move pallets.
