Job Overview
UAA seeks customer‑focused, friendly drivers for the Seawolf Shuttle team. The role is a 9‑month, full‑time position with summers off, scheduled Monday through Thursday on 10‑hour shifts.
Responsibilities- Maintain a valid Alaska driver’s license, clean driving record, and meet UA Safe Driver criteria.
- Pass a Federal DOT pre‑employment drug screen and demonstrate vehicle knowledge for inspections and logs.
- Operate a wheelchair lift.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with diverse customers.
- Demonstrate dependable time management, initiative, decision‑making, and teamwork.
- Work alternate shifts, including early morning/evening hours and in varying weather conditions.
- Use radios and other equipment as required for in‑house transit programs.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum six months of prior shuttle, transit, or commercial driving experience (or equivalent training).
- Valid State of Alaska driver’s license meeting UA safe driving criteria.
Location:
University of Alaska campus, Anchorage.
