Airgas is Hiring for a Local Microbulk Driver (CDL A or

B) in Anchorage, Alaska

We are looking for you !

  • Schedule:

    We are looking for flexibility across a variety of schedules. Overnight travel is part of the role; otherwise, we strive to ensure our drivers get HOME DAILY.
  • Equipment used:
    Tractor-trailer with Tank, Flatbeds and Dry Vans
  • While driving Bulk gases hauled:
    Liquid Oxygen, Liquid Nitrogen, Liquid Co2, etc.
  • While driving Flatbed:
    The cylinders have various gases.

Our CDL Bulk Drivers are the face of the company while safely delivering bulk gaseous products to customers on scheduled routes, both locally and regionally. Microbulk driver will be responsible for doing daily scheduled deliveries of bulk liquid Co2. Reviewing and adjusting reoccurring orders based on customer demands and demand.

  • Maintain courteous and professional relationships with our customers while providing them with products and service of exceptional quality.
  • Upload, deliver, and download gases to customers' vessels in a safe manner.
  • Provide timely communication back to your distribution manager or customer's salespeople regarding any changes related to the customer.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and advise on any needed repairs. Ensure any immediate needs are addressed before going on route.
  • Position will go to remote areas of Alaska where drivers use their resourcefulness to maintain their trucks
    . Example:
    Resolve airline issues, plug tires, or remove tires.

Are you a MATCH?

Required Qualifications
  • Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT, Tanker & Airbrake endorsements
  • Mechanical aptitude to fix things on the truck (Example: Air lines, plug tires, etc)
  • Must have be able to and willing to drive a manual transmission
  • Maintain Alaska driver's license, medical card & endorsements
  • No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years
  • No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
  • Must be able to work in a drug-free environment
  • Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
