Purpose

The Cash Specialist is responsible for optimizing cash management and financial efficiency by handling complex cash analysis tasks and supporting cash management activities.

This role ensures the organization maintains sufficient liquidity to meet its financial obligations and prepares accurately cash projections that provide meaningful infomration to leadership for decision making.

Responsibilities

Cash Position Analysis:
Accurately monitor, analyze, and report the cash position, clearly explaining variances against forecasts.

Free Cash Management:
Optimize working capital by managing available cash, coordinating with intercompany accountants and accounts payable to control IC payables and oversee dividend distribution.

Reporting and Forecasting:
Prepare annual cash plans, three-year cash projections, and comprehensive cash plans aligned with the project’s lifecycle.

Cash Management Procedures Development:
Assist in establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and creating tools to track effectiveness. Evaluate and enhance existing procedures as needed.

Cash Management and Covenants:
Maintain oversight of cash movements between entities to ensure compliance with contractual structures and covenants, providing support and guidance to stakeholders.

Compliance and Procedures:
Exercise overall control to guarantee that all cash movements adhere to covenant requirements and contract structures, while optimizing tax exposure.

Stakeholder Interaction:
Proactively engage internal stakeholders (Cost Control, Accounting, Tax, Treasury teams, executives) to align cash management strategies with organizational objectives. Build strong relationships with external partners through timely and high-quality reporting and forecasting.

System Development and Coordination:
Contribute to continuous improvement of cash management systems and coordinate with remote locations to support effective cash management.

Experience

Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in cash management, treasury operations, or financial analysis and forecasting.

Strong skills in data analysis - forecasting and accounting principles (preferably cash flow statements).

Previous exposure with contracts and understanding of complex company structures.

Proficiency in preparing cash reports, as well as creating cash forecasts.

Effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Analytical mindset and attention to detail & presentation skills.

Proficient knowledge of Excel is a must.

VBA / PowerBI / SQL knowledge a plus.
