Power South Energy Cooperative, headquartered in Andalusia, AL, is a generation and transmission (G&T) electric cooperative with 22 distribution members – 18 electric distribution systems and four municipal electric systems – in Alabama and northwest Florida. Job Summary &Minimum Qualifications:
The purpose of this position is to provide routine administrative support for one or more (usually several) persons below middle management level positions. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least three (3) years of clerical experience. The position also requires a basic knowledge of applicable software applications, basic mathematical skills, and organizational skills and attention to detail in order to maintain an orderly workspace and quality work.
Candidates must demonstrate a potential for success in the Administrative Clerk position by qualifying on an aptitude-based clerical placement exercise and a behaviorally-based structured interview.
- Production of routine documents (letters, memorandums, etc.) with quality, speed, and accuracy.
- Maintain and update databases and spreadsheets.
- Perform reception duties.
- Records and file management.
- Account coding and budgeting.
- Responsible for ensuring the success of Power South by promoting teamwork, group goals and objectives, proper communication and cooperation within the department, division, throughout the Power South organization and with member systems.
