- Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments; appropriately assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family as appropriate
- Circulate during C-Sections, attend deliveries assisting the physician as needed, and attend the neonatal station in the C-Section suite to completely assess the neonate post-delivery
- Follow appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients; provide care across OB/GYN, Antepartum, Triage, Labor and Delivery, and Postpartum settings
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial support needs
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances; serve as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
- Active Alabama RN license or multi-state RN license (must be attached to submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and/or L&D/LDRP
- ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications required — all must be through the American Heart Association and attached to submission
- Experience may include care of OB/GYN patients (e.g., post-op hysterectomy), Antepartum, Triage, Labor and Delivery, and Postpartum care
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Women's Services or OB/GYN setting
- Familiarity with fetal monitoring; fetal monitoring certification (renewed every two years per facility requirement)
- Experience working in a community hospital setting, either in a permanent or contract capacity
- Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a Women's Services unit through a 13-week travel assignment with a defined schedule and consistent night shift hours
