- Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments; appropriately assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family
- Circulates during C-sections, attends deliveries assisting the physician as needed, and attends the neonatal station in the C-section suite to completely assess the neonate post-delivery
- Provides care across the full Women's Services spectrum including Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum, Triage, OB/GYN post-operative care, and Level 1 Nursery
- Follows appropriate policies during the recovery and care of surgical patients; collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial support needs
- Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or families and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances; serves as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
- Active Alabama RN license or multi-state RN license (must be attached to submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and/or L&D/LDRP
- ACLS certification required (must be through the American Heart Association; documentation must be attached)
- BLS certification required (must be through the American Heart Association; documentation must be attached)
- NRP certification required (documentation must be attached)
- STABLE certification required (documentation must be attached); AWHONN certification required (documentation must be attached)
- Experience in antepartum care, triage, and post-operative hysterectomy patient management
- Familiarity with fetal monitoring; fetal monitoring certification (renewed every two years) is highly valued
- Prior experience working in a community hospital setting, whether in a permanent or contract capacity
- Travel nursing experience in Women's Services or OB/GYN specialty
- Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a Women's Services unit providing comprehensive care across Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery in a supportive community hospital environment
- 13-week contract offering professional growth and travel experience in the Women's Services specialty
