O2 Employment Services is working with a local equipment company to find their next Outside Sales Representative. This position is based in Redding, CA.

The ideal candidate will be driven, relationship-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-based sales environment. This role is responsible for developing new business, maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue through the sale of tractors, trailers, and related equipment.

Outside Sales Representative Compensation
  • $60,000 base salary plus commission;

Outside Sales Representative Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of outside sales or business development experience in the heavy construction and/or agricultural sales;
  • Experience in equipment, automotive, agriculture, construction, or related industry preferred;
  • Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships;
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills;
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational abilities;
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems;
  • Valid California Driver’s License and ability to travel within assigned territory.
Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share and increase revenue;
  • Develop and execute territory sales strategies to meet or exceed sales goals;
  • Conduct in-person sales calls with prospective customers including contractors, agricultural businesses, fleet operators, and owner-operators;
  • Deliver product presentations and demonstrations showcasing equipment capabilities and value;
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and purchase agreements in alignment with company policies;
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery timelines while maintaining profitability;
  • Close sales and coordinate with internal teams to finalize orders and ensure timely delivery;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business;
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the sales process and post-sale;
  • Address customer questions and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues;
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional equipment, parts, and services;
  • Maintain working knowledge of tractors, trailers, and related products;
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings;
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and opportunities in CRM systems;
  • Track progress toward sales goals and provide reporting as needed;
  • Collaborate with service, parts, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth transactions;
  • Travel regularly within assigned territory to meet with customers and prospects;
  • Represent the company at trade shows, events, and community functions.
