Papé Kenworth is seeking an Experienced Truck Technician to join our Automotive team. In this role, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair Kenworth trucks to ensure safe, reliable performance for our customers. Responsibilities include performing inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electronic systems, completing scheduled and emergency repairs, and documenting all work performed. You'll collaborate closely with service teammates to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair on Kenworth and other medium- and heavy-duty trucks
- Inspect, maintain, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, aftertreatment systems, brakes, suspension, steering, and HVAC components
- Use diagnostic software, scan tools, and electronic manuals to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
- Document all work performed, including diagnostics, parts used, and labor times, in work orders with accuracy and clarity
- Collaborate with service advisors and parts personnel to ensure accurate estimates, correct parts ordering, and timely completion of repairs
- Test drive vehicles and perform post-repair inspections to verify quality, safety, and proper operation
- Follow all Papé Kenworth and OEM procedures, safety guidelines, and best practices in the shop and during road tests
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper care and use of tools and equipment
- Participate in ongoing technical training and stay current with Kenworth and industry service information and technology
- Support a team-oriented, customer-focused environment by assisting other technicians and providing excellent internal and external customer service
Required Skills
- Diesel engine diagnostics and repair
- Heavy-duty truck chassis, brake, and suspension repair
- Electrical and electronic systems troubleshooting
- Aftertreatment and emissions systems service
- Use of diagnostic software and scan tools
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems knowledge
- Mechanical aptitude and hand/power tool proficiency
- Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and service manuals
- Computer literacy for service documentation and diagnostics
- Time management and ability to handle multiple work orders
- Safety practices in an automotive/truck shop environment
- Basic welding and fabrication (preferred)
- Customer service and communication skills
- Team collaboration in a service shop setting
