Job Description

Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only ensure the customers’ products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers!

Drivers are responsible for driving a tractor‑trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over‑the‑road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive‑and‑drop routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food‑related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). They communicate and interact with customers, vendors and co‑workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.

They function as a team member within the department and organization, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

• Day Shift: Starting at 4:00 AM, Monday – Friday

• Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip) and inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations.
• Report all safety issues, repairs required, and hazards.
• Ensure trailer is properly loaded and secured.
• Perform count checks of items and verify customer invoices.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed.
• Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedule.
• Unload products, transport items into designated customer storage areas.
• Perform damage control checks, scan items, and contact supervisor about removing orders as per policy.
• Verify delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures, collect money where required.
• Load customer returns onto trailer, secure doors, and ensure all equipment and trash are removed from trailers.
• Secure tractor, trailer, and freight and lock as required.
• Complete daily record of hours of service in log per federal, state, and company requirements.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area, keep trailers clear and clean.
• Secure all equipment at end of shift and complete necessary paperwork.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Valid CDL‑A; must be 21+ years of age.
• 6+ months of CMV driving experience.
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years.
• Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Able to obtain or possess a current DOT Health Card.
• Ability to hand‑lift and use two‑wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and stack freight weighing between 10‑35 pounds up to 90 pounds.
• Must have steel‑toe boots.
