AUDITOR - DISABILITY ELIGIBILITY SPECIALIST QUALIFICATIONS- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong math, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Professional and polite phone communication skills
- Excellent attendance record and reliable work ethic
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some college education
- Ability to accurately interpret spreadsheets, insurance claim forms, and plan documents
- Ability to multitask and effectively manage interruptions
- Proactive mindset and self‑motivation to excel
- Willingness to learn more
Our Auditor - Disability Eligibility Specialist works from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday. Overtime is available.
Accuracy and timeliness will be your top priorities in this entry‑level position! You'll help verify customers' eligibility for short-term disability insurance by performing in-depth audits, communicating with physicians, and collaborating with internal team members as needed. Attentive to every detail, you'll set up and process short-term disability requests, audit claims and payments, and review information to ensure all data is correct.
You'll also audit COBRA payments and communication letters, letting your lead know about any issues or discrepancies. By confirming return-to-work dates, answering questions, and communicating with physicians about ongoing files, you'll ensure claims are accurate and customers receive the coverage they need!
