Position: Assistant to the Principal
Holy Cross is a vibrant and authentically Catholic PK-8 school in Anderson, Indiana. We seek an innovative and enthusiastic full-time Assistant to the Principal starting in the  academic year. The Assistant to the Principal plays an integral role in supporting the operations and mission of our school.

Ideal candidates are committed to Catholic education, highly organized, and proactive. Candidates must possess strong technical skills, professionalism, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Candidates must be able to manage digital systems, track data with accuracy, and communicate across multiple platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Serve as a reliable liaison between the principal and school community

* Master school software programs, including Google Docs, Google Sheets, Gmail, etc.

* Operate and master Power School, our School Information System

* Operate and master the Indiana Choice Scholarship portal

* Operate and master the Indiana Tax Credit Scholarship portal

* Operate and master Data Exchange, the reporting hub of the Indiana Department of Education

* Operate and master the Indiana Assessment Portal (IREAD-3, WIDA, ILEARN, ISPROUT, NWEA, etc.)

* Serve as Corporation Test Coordinator, create an Assessment Calendar, schedule and facilitate testing

* Oversee Test Security Training with staff and ensure compliance with IDOE testing protocols

* Prepare reports at the request of the Principal (attendance, Honor Roll, testing performance, etc.)

* Participate in required trainings, staff meetings, and diocesan in-services

* Support school policies, procedures, and diocesan regulations

* Manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and confidential information

* Possess foresight, especially while managing a complex calendar

* Problem-solve and troubleshoot with grace

* Maintain positive working relationships with students, parents, and staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Respect and honor Catholic beliefs and practices

* Possess a valid and current Indiana teaching license (Administrative license not required)

* Comply with child protection protocols as mandated by the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana

* Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:

* 215-day contract with flexible summer work hours

* Office hours are 7:15AM-3:15PM on school days

* Salaried at an amount agreed upon by Pastor, Director of Operations, and Principal

* Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and 403(b) retirement contributions
