Responsibilities:
Assistant coach responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in all facets of building a successful NCAA DIII Program
- Overseeing the defensive staff
- Defensive game planning and practice planning
- Coaching a position
- Recruiting assigned territory
- Other duties assigned by Head Coach and Athletic Director
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor's degree (required); a master's degree is preferred. Also required are previous coaching experience (collegiate preferred); a clear understanding of NCAA III philosophy and the student-athlete experience; ability to recruit in Indiana and contiguous states; ability to work as a part of a team environment; a demonstrated commitment to the Anderson University mission and Christian lifestyle.
Must demonstrate the ability to communicate with a diverse student body, faculty and staff, effective problem solving skills and personal initiative.
Candidates should have belief in and commitment to Jesus Christ and the Christian faith as interpreted through the historic witness of the Bible and the contemporary ministry of the Holy Spirit. They should possess a vitality of Christian experience that is maturing in insight and application.
