We are in search of a highly motivated automation professional to join our regional Aseptic Engineering Team. The right individual is recognized as a subject matter expert in E&A engineering and will bring proven plant floor experience to step into this strategic corporate role with excellent growth prospects. You will demonstrate a deep understanding of specific automation systems and industry-wide best practices, rely on hands-on E&A experience, and work within multidisciplinary, diverse, and competitive team environments.

The goal is to act as a leader and strategic engineering resource for multiple site-specific E&A teams, develop and implement long-term solutions, drive site-specific engineering plans, empower local automation teams through knowledge sharing and training, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with site teams to identify problems and implement solutions. Through reliable and consistent communication with central leadership, you will support the Aseptic Engineering Team’s strategic objectives.

Key focus areas include building engineering capability, delivering process improvements, operating and maintaining systems, managing risk and compliance, driving sustainability, and managing the factory asset portfolio. You will participate in capital investments and support other market projects involving E&A, ensuring solutions follow corporate and market standards and are delivered on time and on budget. You will provide technical leadership and stay current on emerging technologies and best practices in electrical and automation engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Build Engineering capability: ensure E&A personnel are competent to operate safely and efficiently; develop competency assessments and building plans; define factory team structures and coach engineers; deliver technical trainings.
  • Deliver Process Improvements: apply knowledge of production processes and problem-solving methodologies to identify and deliver improvements in quality, safety, or efficiency while protecting intellectual property.
  • Operate and Maintain: understand factory strategy, KPIs, and gaps; support maintenance strategy implementation; ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical, instrumentation, process and MES; drive digital technologies for asset reliability.
  • Manage Risk and Compliance: ensure E&A installations comply with safety, health, environment, product safety and product quality standards; maintain up-to-date documentation; manage changes for E&A systems.
  • Drive Sustainability: participate in factory sustainability objectives; help define priorities and implement energy and water-saving initiatives; track and report improvement results.
  • Manage factory asset portfolio: establish strategies for asset end-of-life, obsolescence, and replacement; keep stakeholders informed for capital planning.
  • Excel in Industrialization: participate in strategic capital projects and support market projects involving E&A to ensure solutions meet standards, quality, and budget.
  • Lead technical expertise: provide expert guidance, stay updated on technologies, prepare documentation, reports, and presentations related to electrical and automation engineering projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Graduate degree is a plus
  • Professional Engineer license (P.E.) is a plus
  • Project Management Professional certification (PMP) is a plus
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in E&A (Electrical & Automation)
  • Enthusiastic to work in a manufacturing facility in the Food and Beverages industry or other CPG industries
  • Good knowledge of electrical distribution systems (low, medium, and high voltage)
  • Good knowledge of local electrical codes and standards
  • Excellent knowledge of instrumentation and calibration processes
  • Proficient in automation systems and equipment (HMI, PLC, industrial networks); preference for Rockwell and Wonderware/Aveva systems; other platform experience (Siemens, B&R) beneficial
  • Knowledge of MES deployment (Manufacturing Execution System)
