Job Summary

Develop and increase VIP guest profitability by building strong professional relationships, actively working the casino floor to acquire new VIP business, encouraging club card utilization, and providing superior service and recognition. The VIP Host will constantly strive to exceed guests’ expectations through gracious, enthusiastic, and personalized service.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY
  • Greet VIP & potential VIP guests and manage player accounts and comps based on recorded play, earned points, comp availability and patron profitability.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with the Executive Host team, Inside Sales Team and other departments (Credit, Gaming, Hotel, Food & Beverage, Transportation) to create exceptional experiences for VIP guests.
  • Identify new potential VIP guests based on criteria established by property leadership.
  • Assist VIP guests with reservations and acquisition of amenities and work closely with casino operations to ensure high‑limit players are recognized and acknowledged.
  • Handle Harrah’s Hoosier Park assets with integrity and responsibility.
  • Assist with maintenance of players as required, including on‑ and off‑property VIP special event coverage and other departmental needs.
  • Provide superior level of guest service and be available to meet and greet VIP guests during their stay.
  • Maintain high visibility throughout the facility during the majority of the shift while leveraging RTCM to greet VIP guests.
  • Maintain close ties with targeted VIP guests through personal contact by phone and in person to generate incremental gaming trips.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Indiana State Gaming Regulations and Harrah’s Hoosier Park policies and procedures.
  • Be knowledgeable of property, product, promotions, and events.
  • Work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and long hours when necessary.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal communication, team‑building, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Resolve stressful situations and make sound complimentary decisions based on tracked play.
  • Self‑motivate and work under pressure, handling situations in a timely manner and working independently.
  • Use analytical skills and customer service orientation to support guests.
  • Perform multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Execute on‑ and off‑property premium player promotions, events, and programs.
  • Maintain appropriate and professional attire and business relations with guests.
  • Update VIP guest account information through SMART.
  • Follow all marketing submissions, SOPs, and IGC requirements.
  • Hold entrusted complimentary authority.
  • Consistently deliver on departmental and individual sales goals.
  • Serve as a player expert for casino gaming, simulcasting, and racing.
  • Multi‑task, pay keen attention to detail, and excel in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Age 21 or older.
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written).
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and training.
  • Mathematical skills including probability, statistics, geometry, and basic algebra.
  • Problem‑solving ability and ability to draw valid conclusions from data.
  • Flexible with varied shifts, weekends, holidays, and long hours.
  • Demonstrate graciousness to guests and coworkers, promote a positive influence in the community, and support company‑sponsored events.
  • Maintain professional appearance and adherence to behavioral standards.
  • Commit to quality customer service in accordance with department and company programs.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Push/pull or lift up to 10 pounds; occasionally push/pull or lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Regularly use hands, fingers, and other modalities to handle tasks.
  • Maintain good vision (close, distance, color, depth, peripheral, and focus).
  • Navigate stairs, maintain equilibrium, and perform physical tasks such as sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Obtain and maintain a license from the Indiana Gaming Commission and Indiana Horse Racing Commission.
